Fresh Sod, New Landscaping, and Irrigation After a Pool Build

Pool construction has a way of tearing up a yard. By the time the pool is done, you're left with compacted soil, bare dirt, and a space that looks nothing like what you had in mind. That's exactly where we came in on this one.

Once the pool contractor wrapped up, we took over the entire surrounding yard. Fresh sod laid edge to edge, new planting beds designed around the home's architecture, a curved paver walkway connecting everything together, and an irrigation system put in place to keep it all looking sharp going forward. Each piece was planned with the full picture in mind - not just one corner of the yard.

The paver path is a good example of how the details matter. It doesn't just cut straight across the lawn - it curves naturally, follows the flow of the yard, and ties the back patio to the pool area without forcing anything. Paired with the boxwood plantings and fresh mulch beds on either side, it gives the whole space a finished, intentional feel.

We worked closely with the homeowner throughout the entire design process. That collaboration matters a lot - especially on a job like this where there are so many moving pieces. The goal wasn't just to fill in what the pool crew left behind. It was to build something that actually looked like it belonged there.

Getting a yard back to this point after major construction takes real planning. The sod, the planting layout, the hardscape flow, the irrigation - it all has to work together. When it does, you go from a construction zone to a space you actually want to spend time in.
